Last Minute Details....

For those of you who have signed up to join us this Saturday, November 3rd for "Create for a Cause" here are a few details you might what to know about.....

1. Food: You are welcome to bring along your own lunch and dinner however for your convenience the ladies at Port McNeill Baptist Church will be offering a “soup and bun” lunch for $5 the proceeds of which will go directly to the Gazette Hamper Fund. For dinner we will be ordering in pizza for $5/person. If you would like to participate in either of those you don’t need to let me know ahead of time, just bring along some moneyJ

 2. Silent Auction: This year we are hosting a silent auction of some beautiful handcrafted items during the day. Lots of great items that would be perfect for Christmas gifts. This silent auction is open to the public so feel free to invite your friends!

 3. Location: Some of you have asked where Port McNeill Baptist Church is located. If you are travelling from Port McNeill take the first left when you come into town (the same intersection as the gas station). The church is located just up the street at 2501 Mine Road.

 4. Classes: if you signed up for any of the kits or Margaret’s class here’s what you’ll need to bring along in addition to your favourite adhesive, paper trimmer and scissors:

 a. 4 Christmas Cards and Portfolio Kit by Danita Schmidt – pop dots
 b. Christmas Ornament and Card Class by Margaret Page @ 1:00 pm – glue pen or glue stick and Margaret is looking for a couple of low heat glue guns to use
 c. Christmas Album Kit by Sandra Dyer – thin Sookwang double sided tape
 d. Wallet Calendar and Bookmark Kit by Michelle Sedola – t.b.a.
 e. 2 Page Year in Review Layout Kit by Lauren Martineau – six 3.75” x 5” pictures and six 3.75” x 3” pictures

 5. Special Challenge: Don’t forget that this year “Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine” is hosting an amazing challenge. If you want to participate remember to bring along some pictures that you want to scrapbook as the winner will receive a challenge prize, a subscription to “Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine” and the opportunity to have their layout published in an upcoming issue of the magazine.
